It's this kind of language which exposes "Core". 99% of the Core had no connection with Hindutva (and hence RSS/BJP) before 2010. Who cares what "Core" says? As I said, they have credibility issues.

I'll join. I have an idea. Let's do a film. Opening scene: Dr. BS Moonje, a Brahmin doctor from Nagpur, stands surveying the Altare Della Patria (Altar to the Fatherland) — site of grand military parades — from the balcony of the Palazzo Venezia in Rome. Beside him is Mussolini. https://t.co/1zYjlHMKfn
https://twitter.com/FriedrichPieter/status/1144496546504826881?s=19
Opening line: Moonje turns to Mussolini. "I have no hesitation to raise my voice from the public platform both in India and England whenever occasion may arise in praise of your Balilla and Fascist organizations," he says. The Italian dictator grins. He says, "We made a new man."
Dialogue continues. "We discovered how to combine the mystical side and the political side," Mussolini tells Moonje. "After we added the element of discipline, it was a simple matter to convince the the citizens that they had nothing except the life of the State." Moonje smiles.
Moonje to Mussolini: "I just saw this morning and afternoon the Balilla and the Fascist Organizations and I was much impressed." Mussolini sips a glass of warm milk. Moonje continues: "Every aspiring and growing nation needs such fascist organizations. India needs them most."
Mussolini speaks: "Dr. Moonje, what is good for Italy is good for India. Teach the people that freedom is not a right, it is a duty. It is not equality, it is a privilege.” Moonje replies: "Yes, yes. We hear everywhere the clamor for 'rights" but never any stress on 'duties'."
Moonje then asks: "India has long been enslaved. What shall we do?" Mussolini responds: “Fascist doctrine is best suited to the tendencies of a people which, like the Italian, after lying fallow for centuries of foreign servitude, are now reasserting themselves in the world."
"I see," replies Moonje. "Fascism believes neither in the possibility nor utility of perpetual peace. War alone brings up to its highest tension all human energy and puts the stamp of nobility upon the peoples who have the courage to meet it." Mussolini replies: "So learn war."
Scene two: the aging & white-bearded Moonje sits for a chai pe charcha (chat over tea) with a long-haired young man half his age. The young man is dressed in a simple robe. Behind his glasses, his eyes glint with fire. Moonje speaks: "Madhav, Mussolini was a man of great wisdom."
The young man is Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar, a lawyer. Moonje continues: "India needs some such Hindu as a dictator — like Mussolini or Hitler of the present day in Italy and Germany. To teach the citizens that all is within the State, nothing outside it, and nothing against it."
Golwalkar nods his head. "Yes, uncle. Every citizen must learn that to offer one’s all, even his dearest possessions, at the altar of motherland is the first and foremost duty of every son of this soil. We must struggle for the existence of our motherland and our national unity."
Golwalkar monologues: “Look at Italy! The old Roman Race consciousness of conquering the whole territory round the Mediterranean Sea, so long dormant, has roused itself and shaped the Racial-National aspirations accordingly." Moonje nods (perhaps dozing off) as Golwalkar talks.
Golwalkar continues: "The ancient Race spirit, which prompted the Germanic tribes to over-run the whole of Europe, has re-risen in modern Germany." Moonje lets out a snore, but the young lawyer continues to hold forth. He addresses the tea kettle, envisioning a grand audience.
Golwalkar is STILL talking: "Even so with us: our Race spirit has once again roused itself as is evidenced by the race of spiritual giants we have produced, and who today stalk the world in serene majesty. National consciousness blazes forth!" Moonje jolts and wakes. He speaks.
Moonje to Golwalkar: "Yes, young Madhav. Our leaders should imitate the Youth movement of Germany and the Balilla and Fascist organizations of Italy. They are eminently suited for introduction in India, adapting them to suit the special conditions." Golwalkar listens intently.
Moonje continues: "The idea of Fascism vividly brings out the conception of unity amongst people. India, particularly Hindu India, need some such Institution for the military regeneration of the Hindus. Our Institution, the RSS, is of this kind." Head in hands, Golwalkar ponders.
A thought strikes Golwalkar. He stands, shouting. Moonje jumps. Golwalkar, loudly: "The war goes on and has not been decided yet. The Race Spirit has been awakening. The world has to see the might of the regenerated Hindu Nation strike down the enemy’s hosts with its mighty arm!"

Fighting against fascists is no less fascist; ultimately, conflict and war are the primary modes of human behaviour. In fact, they are at the root of the whole biology. Sri Aurobindo, however, shows the Evolutionary dimensions vis-à-vis Vedic aspirations ingrained in certain acts.

I wouldn't go as far as Rajaji does in condescending towards Postural Yoga. It has its merits. But it is worthwhile to take a step back and rediscover what Yoga really ought to mean and rescue it from those who wish to market it as a panacea for all bodily ills

Postcolonial theory allows upper-caste intellectuals to maintain privilege in both India and the US. The Indian educational systems whose benefits disproportionately accrue to the upper castes allowed these intellectuals to make the transition to the west. 10/16
Once there, shocked at not receiving the privilege they had back home, postcolonial theory was invented. This theory was used to critique white elites, since it allowed them to position themselves as the brown voice of the subaltern in western academia (e,g, Spivak, Bhabha) 11/16
The grasping desire for power among these scholars is reflected in the empty and ethically hollow nature of their theoretical production. The obfuscatory language that masquerades as sophistication is just a way to hide power. Don't fall for it. 16/16

Rousseau's readers learned to expect no verification

"What I most disliked about Harvard was that smug assumptions were too often treated as substitutes for evidence or logic. The idea seemed to be that if we bright and good fellows all believed something, it must be true."
https://twitter.com/ThomasSowell/status/1110587969897971712?s=19

This is a common mistake among all levels of intelligence. It only requires ego. “My logic is flawless, therefore I could not be wrong ie. fact. No need to bore my listener with useless detail about its origin, I’ll just start referring to it as written law for convenience sake.”
https://twitter.com/ttdawgtt/status/1110592773994897409?s=19

A brief sketch of Rousseauism
It is the idealizing mix of nostalgia and primitivism that envisions life to have begun in some garden of Eden, an orchard of the Hesperides, a Golden Age, or a state of nature that was all peace and prosperity until some moral cataclysm hurled humankind into recorded history...
“Man is born free and everywhere he is in chains:” this is not a thesis which he strove to explain, argue, illustrate, and prove; it is a first principle—to mean, not what logically comes first, as in ancient or medieval philosophy, but what Rousseau intuitively believed to be the starting point of the matter, his heartfelt conviction, the idée fixe from which every fact follows and to which every conclusion returns. This emotional, intuitive apriorism bred fateful habits of the pen in Rousseau, who had no
equal in asserting truths for which his readers learned to expect no verification...
Rousseau is so confident in the world-making power of philosophizing that he avows it openly. It is, he says, “within the province of philosophy…to establish facts” and “these things [i.e., the origin of society, the felicity of savage man, the progress of inequality, etc.] can be deduced from the nature of man by the light of reason alone.”6 From Journal of Comparative Literature and Aesthetics: JCLA Spring 2019 (42.1)

The Mother came to #Puducherry to meet Sri Aurobindo on March 29, 1914. This single event is the only tangible reason to believe that there is some meaning in our existence and what all the philosophies and religions have been searching for will certainly be found out. Gratitude.
(From a meditation written on the day after the Mother first saw Sri Aurobindo). 30 Mar 1914. It matters little that there are thousands of beings plunged in the densest ignorance, He whom we saw yesterday is on earth ...

This guy is supposed to be India’s top public intellectual as per some. Not his fault that some call him that, definitely the fault of those who do so. I really wonder about their analytical and critical thinking skills. And if they do have them, then about their true intentions.

Despite being the subject of considerable scholarship, Aurobindo has generally been presented as a disjointed figure, fragmented and constrained by disciplinary boundaries. Ongoing disputes within the wider Aurobindo community regarding his contested legacy have drawn attention to his (mis)appropriation by a resurgent Hindutva ethno-nationalism. Against the attempts by some to monumentalize Aurobindo as an infallible Avatar, this interdisciplinary review of the field of Aurobindo studies seeks to bring together a wide range of scholarly perspectives ... Alex Wolfers

Sri Aurobindo is the most overlooked and underestimated sage/ yogi/ philosopher of the modern era. He was so revolutionary that even his own disciples and followers have failed to fully comprehend the  most radical aspects of the message of Savitri, ...
I must acknowledge that there is a strange inconsistency in Aurobindo’s writings, which may help to explain why Aurobindonians are so discomforted by the ideal of romantic love as a redemptive force—and why some Aurobindonians deny the manifest sense of Savitri, and why none of the commentaries on Savitri point out the obvious: that romantic love is “the star” of the poem. Seth Farber, PhD

The heart of my presentation is that Emerson and Aurobindo were both deeply influenced by the spirit of Humanism, and sought to develop new approaches to the spiritual life that were in harmony with the Humanistic Revolution. They recognized that if we want to be both Humanist and spiritual, we must find a form of religion that is at once individualistic, world-affirmative, and open-ended. Thus American Transcendentalism arose in the West to meet this need, while in the East developed the Purnadvaita or integral non-dualism of Sri Aurobindo.
Hegel helped Emerson understand that the process of evolution is itself a manifestation of Spirit. While Aurobindo shares with Emerson a theory of transmigratory evolution, his path to this common resolution was the easier one ...
The interesting fact to note here is that although Emerson and Aurobindo were rejecting very different traditions, they both came to the same conclusion: the world is the very real manifestation of Spirit whose basic nature is ananda. by Robert C. Gordon, PhD

The second type would bring in some comparative elements quite tentatively and with great care for fear of crushing the master’s words (quite unwarranted, no doubt!) and make sure that Sri Aurobindo’s position is uniquely preserved even in the course of the textual arguments. These selfstyled scholars then parade as arch Aurobindonians never ever casting a single glance at either Sri Aurobindo’s works or their own (mis)readings ever afterwards. Sri Aurobindo might be his own interpreter or rather his works could stand testimony to their own insights — but scholarship is indeed something more demanding than submissive commentaries, surreptitious asides, or supportive descriptions.
